Today’s Message: Nature’s Healing Powers

There is a great healing power by being in the outdoors. Recently a friend drove me just outside town to a creek bed where she could gather some rocks for her garden. It was a special place of mine that seem to hold magical transformative powers. I had taken my grandsons there before to do the same thing. They also felt that uniqueness.  After going down a one-lane road through an archway of trees, the sun shone through in a delightful pattern and suddenly this lovely rocky creek bed appeared right along the roadside. I walked with her dog Lexie (the one I kept for a week) while she selected the rocks she wanted. We meandered along the creek bed talking about its beauty and the variation of stones and colors analyzing with the artist’s eye. We took pictures of the creek and the beauty around us wanting to preserve it. Then we sat down in the middle of the creek on the rocks and just talked, learning more about what each of us liked and how our upbringing had influence those behaviors. We became more connected having enjoyed this experience together. I took one last look around us as we readied to leave, wanting to retain this magical place and magical moment in my heart. The peace and tranquility I tried to carry with me. The best medicine a doctor could have ordered

Quote for the Day: “It’s time to knock the t off the can’t.”
Neil Eskelin, Daily Jump Start

Thoughts to Ponder: "There is a calm beneath all that. Like the the calm at the bottom of the ocean, even when there is a storm above causing choppy and dangerous seas." by Tony DeLiso

Beneficial eBook:

"One of my most favorite quotes of all time is from William James: 'The greatest discovery of my generation is that
human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.'
That's powerful!  And it fills me with hope every time I read it because it says to me that if I can control my attitude I can control my life. Jeff Keller says, 'Attitude is a choice!'  And his book, 'Attitude is Everything,' is one of my top choices for 'tuning up' my attitude." Vic
