*Today's Message: Judging Ourselves
Many times we judge our own behavior. Sometimes it is that critical parent
whose voice we hear saying: "You are not doing that right." " You
should be doing something else." "Why can't you do that?"
"You're not even trying." "You are so forgetful." "You
are wasting time." "Who would want that?" Often over and over we
keep repeating these messages to ourselves, until we believe that we are a
certain way and can't do certain things...at least not to others, much less our,
satisfaction. With these negative messages imbedded in our brain, we function
accordingly and often do not try things because we think we can't succeed ,or if
we do so, it won't be done "right". So as we embark on a new project
or idea, let us keep in mind that we can do it , maybe at a different pace or in
a unique way, at our own speed. So allow yourself to succeed by not being
judgmental. The journey will be much more enjoyable. Marilyn
