  ***Finding Oneself***
Dear Friends, this has been a month of struggling
to keep my head above water.
I was having a difficult time
and my minister suggested I read my own web site! LOL
So I reread my quotes I had chosen on courage
and the healing affirmations and picked out some select stories.
By golly, she was right, they did help life my spirits...LOL...

I was getting into a negative state of mind,
critical of myself and struggling with self worth.
Over these last eight years, I have done a lot of soul searching...
Read lots of self help books, psychotherapy,
workshops and classes on Improving oneself, 
prayer, meditation, spiritual conferences,
but peace would never stay with me.
Dori-theDreamer sent me an email last week about

Finding One's Self

"I have often wondered about the concept of truly finding one's self,
and to be perfectly honest, the thought almost scares me.
Think about it...what if after you found yourself,
you didn't like what you found. OK.

 I guess this is where you can stop and reflect
and do something to change yourself for the better,
but maybe you are fine just the way you are....
Gosh, call me odd, but I actually do
like myself just the way I am!

I do believe we all try to find ourselves mentally
during certain passage within our lifetime...
Maybe what we are really doing when we say
we are trying to find ourselves

is trying to adjust to our new roles in life,
and the roles we play in life
do always keep changing,
whether we like it or not,
and whether we accept it or not.

I have found if you really wonder about who you are,
you simply need to share yourself with others
and soon you will find out just who you are,
just by the way you respond to others
and how they in turn respond to you." Dori

As I searched to discover "What is my Purpose in Life?"
I realize I kept looking outside myself for the answers
But all along the answers were within.
Love and nurture myself,
and supply my own needs.
Then I will be able to love and care for others.
That's what we are here to do...
help one another along Life's Journey,
but we have to take care of ourselves in the process.
So this week, I plan to spend some time alone...
with my spiritual guide
looking within...
I plan on nourishing my soul...
