***Today's Message: New Year
Tradition in Cancun
Just returned from a well needed R&R in Cancun from Christmas Day to New
Years Day. It was extremely relaxing and calming watching and listening to the
ocean waves and just resting. A time to "Just BE", not doing anything.
However, I have to admit that we did do some sightseeing. We had to visit the
Mayan Ruins at Chichen Itza and climb the pyramid. Snorkling the reefs off
Cancun was a fascinating world to visit and observe. However the
biggest thrill was the "Swim with the Dolphins" on Isla Mujeres. It
was the dream of a lifetime come true! The dolphins are such gentle sensitive
creatures. The other highlight was greeting in the New Year at sunrise by
throwing a flower into the ocean. The natives perform this ceremony to rid
oneself of the past and greet in the new. The flower is sent out to the Universe
by the ocean waves with good wishes and hopes for a wonderful New Year. These
