Special Message for Today: Reflections...
As I pull out my Christmas decorations and focus on the manger in the center of my home, I reflect on the memories of Christmas Past. All the time we spent with family...happy, joyous time with Christ as the center and giving to others as our main focus. We spent time in Church listening to the timeless story of the birth of Christ, the singing Christmas Carols spreading Christmas Cheer, buying gifts for the Salvation Army to distribute, taking food to underprivelidged families, baking cookies for shutins, visiting people in retirement centers and nursing homes, finding special gifts for special people. All the time focusing on others. May you remember to keep the spirit of Christmas giving year round. Enjoy the Reflections of Christmas Pasts and make some new memories starting new traditions with love and joy. Peace and God Bless. Marilyn

Here are  some inspirational messages and poetry I received this week. Fighting off bronchitis so haven't had much time to give to thoughtful reflections...LOL...Peace, dear friends. Enjoy all the holiday emails. MDP

*Message from Bob Perks:
"The Path Under My Feet" ~Bob Perks~
"The road ahead is twisted and curved. I cannot see around the corners.
But I can see the path here under my feet. It is here that I can make a difference.
It is now that I can touch the lives of those I meet in such a way
...that nothing but kind words can be spoken of me."

*"True thanksgiving is not just being thankful when you get what you expect. It's being thankful for what you've got."

"There is inside you"- author unknown

There is inside you
All of the potential to be whatever
you want to be
All of the energy to do whatever
you want to do.
Imagine yourself as you would like to be,
doing what you want to do,
And each day, take one step
towards your dream.
And though at times it may seem too
difficult to continue,
Hold on to your dream.
One morning you will awake to find
that you are the person
you dreamed of
Doing what you wanted to do
Simply because you had the courage
To believe in your potential
And to hold on to your dream.

I volunteer with an organization  that offers services to women and children who are survivors of domestic violence.  This is something that was handed out to the women recently... while I was reading it, it spoke to me, and I found lot of meaning in it, and I thought you might find inspiration in it too...author unknown

"It takes great courage to go in new directions.  It takes great courage to try things that others around us have not tried.
One can have courage while one has fear. Courage does not mean the absence of fear.  To open new doors, to take new steps while walking through our fear takes the greatest courage of all. Each new door opened gives us confidence to open the next door.
By trusting the goodness within us and going beyond the fear, life is an exciting, satisfying and fulfilling place to be. Today I continue to remove any barriers that keep me from being fully who I am in this universe. As I continue to trust my inner guidance, I receive all the inspiration I need to grow in courage and faith and love."

"One Day At A Time" author unknown

Each day a battle...
Each day a victory...
Each Day...
One Day At A Time.

We can't change the past...
But we can gather up
It's lessons and move on,
Stronger and wiser.

We can't control the future...
But we can send our dreams
Ahead of us
To help prepare the way.

We can live each moment...
Heart and soul,
And cherish this day's
Greatest gift...
The gift of now.

May peace with the past
And faith in the future,
Gently guide you through each
Precious moment of Today.
