Synchronicity by Marilyn Dixon Pfanstiel

Lately I some interesting things have come across my path. One day last week, coming home from work, a red tailed hawk flew overhead and landed on top of the parking garage at the hospital and I watched him several minutes before he disappeared. The next day, I changed my walk around the block to come back home around the golf course and saw a blue heron. Then last night after the meeting at someone's house in town, as I was leaving, I saw a huge white rabbit (with brown patches). I turned my car lights on him and he froze. I approached slowly...then when he saw me, he hopped a few feet away...I stepped closer… and he moved a few hops away again...then I reached down and easily picked him up! He did not struggle at all. I cuddled him close to me. I went up to the house and a voice from inside asked who it was...I told her I was visiting the neighbors and found a rabbit in her front yard and thought it might be someone's pet...She slowly opened the door and saw me cuddling the rabbit and said that it was a wild rabbit...a bunch of them live around here...no one feeds them...it's no one's pet..."you can take it home if you want", she encouragingly responded...I said, "not if this is it's home"...she again said it was wild and encouraged me to take it as I was so enjoying holding and cuddling it...and it seemed to enjoy the attention as well...but I sadly said that I would love to keep it but I didn't think my cat would like it...She said probably not. I turned and set the rabbit down... and we watched each other for several minutes as he sat beside me before I went my way and he went his. He surely looked like someone's pet to me. The next day, after the lady told my friends that I found a rabbit in her yard, they found him and took him in. their cats didn't seem to mind. They are trying to find the owners and in the meantime are getting to know this cuddly fellow.

These three creatures are not things I normally see every day. So I looked these birds and animals up in the book called Animal Speaks by Ted Andrews, which explains what these things mean when they come into our lives. It is so appropriate for the situation in my life at this time...change... new life, reaching new heights…strong...powerful...follow your own path... moving toward your soul purpose. Exciting...

So, now I am being observant to what is going on around me because life seems to me sending me signals.

Now I am off to dream land to see what dream messages await.

After the Storm ©

During our Life's Journey, storms will come.
Some times, it is just a gentle shower
Calling our attention, by awakening our senses.
At other times, it can be a torrential downpour
Seemingly never ending.
Overpowering everything in its path.

When the majestic clouds begin to lift
And the sky begins to clear,
There is a brilliant silver lining illuminating the edges
With sunrays blazing heavenward.
The clouds begin to pick up gorgeous pink hues
Embellishing the blue/gray forms
As the sky illuminates, with an ethereal tranquility.

I try to capture this magnificent creation in my mind
But, moment by moment, the sky is changing
As the sun is dying in the west
And the scene returns to normalcy.
The peaceful scene fills my heart
And strengthens my soul
After the storm.
