"Hurt heck your going die out there if I don't help you." said Roy. He slowly climbed down from the squad, it was far as he could go with the oxygen on. He pulled up his mask and pulled off the nasual canula and tossed it back on the squad. Roy then put his air tank on his back. It hurt every muscle in his body to put that tank on. His breathing was becoming harder and harder. He knew he had to hurry before he passed out from the pain and the lack of oxygen. He could hear Dr. Brackett in the back ground giving him heck. "Dam it he's not answering he could kill himself. Remind me to give him a sound lecture when he's well enough." said Brackett he was angry with his senior paramedic and he needed a lecture on following orders. Dr. Brackett also knew Roy had to do what he thought was right. Engine 51 was now in the area of the squad. "Mike blast the air horn a couple of times." said Cap. Mike did as he was told he blasted the air horn a couple of times. Roy and Johnny each froze when they heard the blast on the air horn. "Did you hear that?" asked Johnny as Roy reached him. Roy nodded no longer able to draw enough air to speak. he helped Johnny to his feet (sorta of one foot). Johnny looked at Roy puzzled. "Where is your IV's?" Roy patted his shirt. Johnny could see the bulged in Roy�s shirt. "Cute my friend." said Johnny. He then hopped on one foot quickly towards the squad leaving Roy to walk slowly back. He was loosing the fight to stay conscious. "Rampart 51 tell LA we hear 51's air horn, they are close to our location." said Johnny Dixie grabbed the phone and told LA dispatch that engine 51 was close to the squad. "LA Engine 51" "Go ahead LA?" said Cap. Stanley "Be advised we got a call from Rampart from Squad 51 they heard your air horn you are close to them." said Sam. "10-4 LA" said Cap. Chet and Marco got out on the sides of the engine. Marco on top of the hose bed and Chet stood on the running board behind Captain Stanley. "Keep a close eye out guys. They are running out of time." said Captain Stanley. Johnny suddenly realized Roy wasn't beside him. He turned around and saw Roy laying on his side on the ground. Johnny felt a wave of panic wash over him. he froze for a second unable to think unable to move unable to take a breath. He snapped back when he heard. "STOP MIKE I see the squad! "JOHNNY ! ROY!" yelled Chet. Cap grabbed the mic and said "La this is engine 51 we are at squad 51's location. 3 miles north of devils interchange. Respond ambulance squad and tow truck." said Cap getting out of the Engine. "10-4 Engine 51" came Sam�s voice full of relieve. "Marco grab a inch and 1/2, Chet, rig a couple of lines so we can get down there." Cap said and then grabbed his radio "La Engine 51 send me some man power" "10-4 Engine 51" came the voice over the radio. Captain Stanley and Chet slowly as fast and carefully as they could went down the hill. "Johnny - Roy?" yelled Chet. "CHET!" yelled Johnny hopping on one foot towards Roy. "CHET ! CAP!" he was never so excited to see anyone as he was to see Cap and Chet coming down that hill. "GAGE!" said Cap grabbing hold of Johnny to keep him from falling. "We've got to get Roy out of here. He needs the oxygen off the back of the squad!" said Johnny as Cap helped him down next to Roy. Johnny could hear more sirens approaching. Soon Marco and a couple of other firemen with hoses were putting out the flames as they drew nearer. "Chet get the Bio phone and o2 off the squad!" yelled Cap. Chet did as he was told and got the stuff Johnny wanted,. "I've got another squad on the way. How bad is it?" asked Cap. "I don't know any more I had him safe on the back of the squad and then I go and break my ankle trying to keep the flames back. he got up and came to help me. He has internal injuries, broken ribs, concussion I believe. He also had a seizure." "Ok pal here comes some help." said Cap as he placed the oxygen back on Roy under his mask. Dwyer arrived first then Brice followed close behind. "GAGE!?" "Hey Dwyer do me a favor take care of Roy for me. he'd kill me if he knew I left him with Brice. "smiled Johnny. "Sure, think you can handle him taking care of you?" asked Dwyer checking Roy's pulse. "I'll manage somehow." smiled Johnny. "What's the situation Gage?" asked Dwyer." I'd say concussion, internal injuries, broken ribs and he also a seizure a while ago. I'd say all injures have been aggravated when he climbed off the squad to try and help me. He's got 2 IV's. He put the bags in his shirt." said Johnny as Brice walked up. "Gage we'll take care of Roy now. What is wrong with you?" asked Brice. Johnny rolled his eyes. "Shut up Brice" said Johnny. "Now now Gage we need to be professional don't we?" said Brice. "Brice let me tell you what you can do with your professionalism." said Johnny. "GAGE!" snapped Cap. "My ankle I believe I broke it. Thank you very much." said Johnny "Boy someone is in a bad mood." snipped Brice. "Brice "Why don't we put you in a squad have a burning tree fall in your path and nail the side of the squad having you only one way to go down a hill with your partner unconscious, injured with fire all around you, no radio except the Bio phone to rampart. Your partner having a seizures and you break your ankle trying to keep flames back, as your already injured partner tires too help you. Making his injuries worse and you think I'm in a bad mood!" yelled Johnny. "Get away from me BRICE!" snapped Johnny. Johnny then stood up quickly Everything began to go in slow motion and as everything went black. Captain Stanley caught Johnny before he hit the ground. Cap lowered Johnny to the ground. They (he and Brice) removed Johnny�s air tank and coat. As others arrived with the stokes. Dwyer looked at Johnny�s fallen form. He slide the bio phone closer to Brice. Roy began to stir.
