Walking up the sidewalk that led to the DeSoto home she stopped for she noticed a car parked behind her dad's that she didn't reconize. Making her way through the back door, she stopped short as she caught a glimsp of her mother and Roger sitting on the couch talking with her dad and Joanne. I put it in the birthday card that I had sent you." She asked seeing the look of confussion sweeping through every inch of Nicci's face. " Your father and Joanne is nice enough to let Roger and I stay here in the guest room while we're waiting for our belonging to be delivered to our new house." Nicci didn't know what to think about the words her mother spoke. But as her mother's words bounced inside her head she felt an overwhelming fear. This feeling of fear swept clean through her every being as she started backing up from the cold stare Roger was giving her as he started undressing her with his eyes. Without another single word she headed straight to her room. ........... Roy could sence a certain tension in the room at supper time. Stealing glances at Nicci he spoke. " Nicci, how was school today?" "Fine." She lied getting up to leave the table " Aren't you going to eat?" " What are you doing here? I told you to stay the hell away from me." " Oh there's only a half day of school." Sherry said." Nicci, why haven't you been in school? I've missed you." It was later in the evening and Nicci had just entered her room after a quick shower. Jumping at the sound of a slamming car door she spun around and became face to face with Roger. " Get out of here." She warned holding the towel tightly to her nakedness. With his cold gleamy eyes on her Roger advanced his steps towards Nicci. " You've been a very bad girl haven't you?" He snickered." You need to be punished." He added taking Nicci rouchly by the arms. " You told didn't you?"
