Even with what Little bit it still sent him helplessly flying though the air landing near by with a thud. John lay still on the ground for a moment while he waited for the rest of him to catch up to his body. He then raised to his feet a little soar. "Aw man I'm going to feel this later" John was strong and as far as he could tell he had not hurt, cut or broken any thing that he knew of, he did know that he had a few cuts and scraps and bruises, one thing he did know was that he would be feeling this one for a while. He decided that he would think about that later right now he had to get to the 3rd car to check them out in it. The 3rd car had 2 victims in it a man and a woman. John could hear the Squad and engine as they was getting closer "Good now maybe I can take a break soon." The 3rd car seem to be the worse they had several injuries and maybe some Internal bleeding he wasn't for sure. Engine 51, and Squad 51, pulled on to the scene Johnny was glad it was 51's crew. As they approach �Look there's Johnny!" Roy could tell by the Captain's Voice he was glad to see the late paramedic. Roy started toward the 1st car. When he heard his name called "ROY! "Sure thing pal." Cap and his men went right to work. "John was you in the wreck?" Roy had that worried look in his eyes once again. "No Roy I was a little ways behind when the accident happen." "Well you look like you were in the accident" Roy then pointed to the Skinned elbow and the bruises. "Oh that's nothing, was a little busy here waiting for you and your partner to show up for work, must of hit it and didn't even notice it." John knew it was wrong to lie to Roy but he also knew how Roy would act he would be more like a worried mother then a partner if he knew the truth. His back was a little soar and he knew that the last thing he wanted for it right now as to lay in a hospital bed. So he decided that the last thing he wanted to do right now was to tell Roy about his little miss hap with the car. After a while all the victims were loaded in to ambulances and were on their way to the hospital. John had decided to not go to the hospital with the victims and Roy. He really didn't want his Land Rover parked on the freeway. "Hey John, Pal come over here for a minute will yeah?" "Oh yeah sure Cap." John headed toward his Captain fearing the worse. "Listen John is you sure you are alright?" Cap was always a little Worried when it came to Johnny. "Yes Cap, just a few bumps, and cuts I�m fine." Johnny wondered why they never believe him the first time they asked him. "Okay if you�re sure? Dwyer and Roy will be at the hospital for a while and we will be here getting this cleaned up, why don't you go head to the Station get cleaned and Dwyer can go when they get back from Rampart." "You sure cap?" Johnny wasn't sure why he asked that. "Yeah yeah go ahead and when Roy gets back have him take a look at that arm have him clean it and don't give him any fuss over it either!" John nodded as he headed once again for his land rover once he was seated Inside of it, he let out a long slow breath that he had been holding. "Close to close" John had reached the station and was ready to go when Roy and Dwyer returned. He was enjoying his coffee when the rest of the station returns. Dwyer said good-bye to the A shift as he went to leave for the day, he was glad that the missing Paramedic had finally showed up for work that meant he could finally start his day off. Cap once he was back, told John that he needed to call his landlady, she didn't need to worry any longer then she had too. John had used the phone in the Caps office, as so not to have the guys making comments around Him. When he returned to the dayroom he was not surprise to see that Roy and the Captain was sitting at the table with the first aid box off the squad. As John walked into the room the Cap pointed to a chair, and John sat he knew Better then to fight this, he knew he was going to lose this battle 2 against 1, never was a good odd. Roy then decided to bring up the real reason why Johnny had been late, he knew once he got Johnny started on the girl he would be sorry, but at least he knew his friend was there with him and a smile crept across Roy's face as the told of his plans he had made for him and Karen what she look like. The rest of the morning was slow they did their work and drank coffee talking amount themselves. Johnny was kind of glad it was slow his back hurt A little and carrying a victim out of a fire wouldn't be to much fun he beat himself. After lunch the station was toned out *STATION 51 MAN TRAPPED * 123 SOUTH SCOTCH STREET TIME OUT 12:00 HOURS * As always with a station call the cap grabbed the mike and answered with a KMG-365. Before handing a call slip to Roy and then heading to the engine. The squad left followed by the engine it was a short drive to the scene. When they approach, a woman flagged them down. She was very excited as she talk, finally Captain Stanley got her to calm down enough to show them where her husband was at. They had gotten that much out of her at least.
