Shown with Janie is Anne (Hines) Fisher on right. Anne was her housekeeper. Janie took a fatal heart attack and died in Anne's arms while Janie's boarder

Thomas Adam was born 1850 at Glenelg, N.S. He died 1927.
Janie McNab Archibald born in Glenelg 17Nov1858 died 1940.
Married Oct.3, 1888
The home known as Maplehurst and the surrey above was owned by Thomas and Janie. It was called Maplehurst because of a stand of maples that lined the lane.
The house was later owned by Fred MacGrath and his wife Lillian.
They moved to Melrose and William, Fred's brother started to raise a large family there. The house burned down in the 1950's.

Elmer MacFarlane who boarded with Janie. Regretfully Elmer passed away
Jan.12, 2004 at the age of 90 after having taught 38 years in Nova Scotia. He received his B.A. in 1960.
