| Alfred Hines was the 2nd oldest child of Robert and Mary Ellen Hines , born February 9, 1897 in Country Harbour, N.S. and died June 5, 1976. |

| Alfred was a First World War Veteran. After the war, he built boats and was lighthouse keeper at Fisherman's Harbour. Laura tended their store and was an excellent cook. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
