look for our sweet baby's face
Here's how the appointment went...
we saw ONE perfect baby that was measuring right on schedule (measured 1 day ahead which matches exactly with the day we thought we conceived baby- Easter Sunday! ) and was perfectly formed. We could see the basic features and they got a shot showing the baby's face! The baby was situated exactly where I thought it was. We saw AND heart a perfectly fast beating heart and they confirmed our baby is STICKY! They checked very throughly for twins but at this early stage only saw the one sweet babe. They did say I was right and had ovulated from both sides. There was a remaining corpus luteum on both sides but the one on the L was bigger. Baby was conceived from L side this time. (Kade was from R) They were able to do abdominal U/S so I didn't even have to worry about spotting. Baby and uterus are already up and out of pubic bone. Uterus measures right on schedule internally but since it never went all the way back behind the bone after Kade it is situated much higher up so I measure ahead externally which is why I am so big already.

The baby's anatomy was perfect. We got to see all the parts they check. Spine, arms and leg bones, face, head, heart, feet, kidneys,etc.
Baby had a nice round belly already and forming bone instead of cartiledge.
Baby is a snuggly baby with its arms up near face. Kade was a thumb sucker but this one is not and is more quiet.
The whole time I was getting the U/S Kade was so excited! He kept going, " baby, baby,
baby". When I had to leave the room to empty my bladder her got really upset and started crying. Some of it was a mommy phase but then I figured it out... Kade wanted to see the baby again. I got back on the table and they started the U/S again and Kade was again going baby baby baby.
We saw all 4 chambers of the heart beating away and perfectly normal.
And yes we DID get to find out what we are having...
It's a BOY! Kade gets a baby brother!!! We couldn't be more thrilled.
He will be named Duncan Gareth.
