Lughnasadh is a time when the Sun god is aging and the days are getting shorter while the nights are getting longer. It is a time when the spring plants are dying off and their seeds are harvested for the next season. We start to look forward to fall and enjoy the first harvest of the year. Traditionally celebrated from sunset on July 31 till sunset on August 1.
Magickal workings for this time are for remembering the warmth and bounty life, loving what you are given, and basking in the here and now. |
