It's all about.. well.. whatever I feel like it's about that day.

This is a poem I wrote for my poetry class.. Hope you all Like it!

The House

There stands a deceitful house away from prying eyes.

Peaceful woods hide its terrifying and evil lies.

Bright candies and sweets conceal the dark force within.

In that house it happens – the ultimate sin.

It’s quite mad to eat children – this is true.

To hear her speak, you’d think her evil thru and thru.

Don’t blame the witch I say!

You cannot go the places I may.

With my tiny paws and light patter,

The house doesn’t think that I matter.

I saw it weaving its insidious spell.

It turned her mind into a vicious hell.

They killed the poor insane witch today.

Her name was Alora, was what I wanted to say.

She was once beautiful, sweet, and kind.

This was before the house molded and twisted her mind.

I saw her die with great sorrow.

She’ll only be replaced on the morrow.

Even now the house has begun an evil plan.

It’s calling out enticingly to the woodsman.

I shudder to think about that ax in his hand.

I wish I was able to cry warning throughout the land.

Alas I am only a tiny voiceless mouse.

I cannot be heard to warn anyone about the house.

I am writing this tiny note to you dear friend,

The house is tricky and its evil knows no end.

Whomever you are reading this note,

Head the words that I wrote.

It’s too late for the woodsman who was a nice guy.

He’s already been taken in by the house’s lie.

I hope the house doesn’t realize that it’s magic,

Has forever changed me – though tragic.

No more am I a normal little mouse.

I’ve soaked up the magic of the house.

Though I am not liable to kill,

This is an evil thing still.

What mouse can write and think this way?

Being unable to help is torture I say!

I’ll put this note in a bottle and float it down the river,

I sincerely hope you believe it, though it may give you a shiver.

And so I watch and impatiently wait,

Hoping justice will be dealt by the hand of fate.

Sincerely yours from the Ginger bread house,

Your friend, Walter J. Mouse.
