Well, I started writing my novel. It's going fairly well. For those of you who don't know... I have to write a novel for my senior project for both my English degree and my Writing degree. It's been 10 years since I've finished anything other than the occasional poem. I used to write entire novels when I was younger, but as I've gotten older I just never seem to have time to finish anything. I'll be gung ho about it and get distracted by life... then lose interest.  Not this time, I couldn't have picked a more personal story to write. This idea has been bouncing around in my head for a long time. It's an important story and writing it has been a little like opening up a vein and bleeding on the page (or keyboard in this case). It's a piece of my soul. Needless to say that I think it's the best thing I've ever written so far. I've finished the first three chapters in the last week or two. I started on chapter four and am now taking a step back for some feedback. I let my Grandma read it, which was really hard, but she loved it. My Grandma is so sweet, she started bugging me again about getting published. This is an argument we have had more than once over the years. Anyway, I'm struggling now. Because the story is about understanding a woman similar to my mother, whom I do not understand.. LOL... I'm having to take a step back and think about it for a bit. I don't want to lose steam though, so I'm keeping the story file open on my computer and writing about it in my blogs. I'd like some feedback from anyone who is interested in reading it.
