It's all about.. well.. whatever I feel like it's about that day.
Eclipses

Well, I just read something interesting from my feed from Llewellyn's article rss feed. It's about upcoming eclipses in September. I read it and a feeling of... well, not dread... but... mmm.... edginess came over me. I hate upheavals in my life. They stress me out. LOL. I break out in hives and my back and stomach always look like someone has taken a strap to me. It always seems as if those upheavals all come at the same time, which pile on the stress... hence the hives.

Last year at this time, I was feeling extremely stressed. The closer we got to the holidays.. the worse it got. There were numerable health problems in mine and Patrick's families, I was going through a bunch of stuff with a couple of close friendships, school was especially stressful, I had two really little ones (Dayanera was two and maverick was under a year old), an extra family living in my house, and extra money strain on our finances. It was really rough. I felt like I was barely holding it together most days and it just kept getting worse and worse. My Grandaddy died right at Yule with some serious unresolved issues between us and then some of the relationships in my life just seemed to implode. Needless to say, the idea that anything could come along and rock my boat again this year is enough to make me itch... ALLOVER. LOL.

The article says not to look at an upcoming eclipse in a negative light. I shall endeavor to do so. However, I have decided that I am done with allowing my thoughts to be occupied by other people's crap anymore. A profound thing for me. LOL. Usually I agonize over problems going on in friends/family's lives. I always want to try to fix things. A bad habit, as it always blows up in my face. That bit in the article about issues surrounding friendships will take centerstage makes me want to crawl into a hole and hide. Jeez, like I haven't had enough issues in that arena in the last year? Do you think maybe I could be some other sign for a while? LOL. Then there's the stuff on the 22 mentioning pregnancy and children.... I think I might run screaming for the hills.... LOL. I think I'll just ignore it all... LOL. I'm going to just do my own thing, concentrate on the things that make me happy and live in my own world. My daughter does it all day long and it's working for her.. *grin*... besides trying to be what everyone needs/wants has been making me utterly miserable, which wouldn't be completely awful except there's no positive feedback. I need to make myself happy and if that means getting into trouble for saying what I really think/feel, getting into trouble, or losing old friendships... well, my latest profound thought on that subject is that maybe that's the way it should be? I refuse to apologize for what I think or feel anymore, I refuse to take all the blame in a problem anymore, and I refuse to allow myself to be belittled, devalued, or hurt by what other people say/do/think/feel. Wow. Who needs Starting Over when you have a blog? LOL.

In the interest of doing just that, I've been working on the promotion for WOM alot these days (something I love and care about). I'm checking out a new location for the lunches this weekend and have taken on a new student. I told myself and my husband I wasn't going to take anymore because I've been burned so badly lately, but this woman really impressed me and I let her talk me into it (and in the interest of not allowing other people's actions to rule mine.. I did it). However, I'm approaching the whole thing with caution, week by week (not allowing them to rule me is one thing... jumping in with both feet is another.. baby steps here). She's not a first year, which is a good thing and partly why I let myself be talked into it. No offense to those of you who studied under me as first years, but working with someone who has some experience is much more fun for me. I tend to count the days until I can start on the stuff I find more interesting than the basics. She's also just as interested in the historical and philosophical stuff that I am into. She didn't cringe when I told her about the lesson on the history of the Bible. LOL. She was actually interested in it. For that alone I had to agree. Every student I've ever had has complained about having to know that stuff, even my star pupil. LOL. Which I understand that not everyone is as fascinated with the origins of religion as I am and that the lessons are a bit dry for some people. It's nice to meet someone who is into it though. Anyway, I really liked her and enjoyed the day we spent together while I was giving her a sewing lesson. I'm looking forward to having lunch with her again.

I thought I'd copy and paste the article on the eclipses onto this blog posting, if anyone is interested. I get it in an RSS feed but I don't make my feed available to the public because it makes it hard to know when I've put something new in my blog or whatever.

Blessings,

Natalie/Em

The September Eclipses: What's in Store for Everyone!

Date: 2006-08-14   By:  Maria Shaw

Have you been fence sitting about an important decision; wishing fate would intervene so you wouldn't have to make one? Well, you may soon get your wish. This September we have two eclipses coming which will push you off that fence. On September 7th and September 22, there will be a set of eclipses that will touch each of us in some way. Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius and Gemini will be the most affected of the zodiac signs and those folks who have aspects in their astrology charts, related to the degree and sign of the eclipse. Yes, this autumn could prove to be unsettling for some of us!

Eclipses should not be feared but anticipated. The new moon eclipse on September 7th in Pisces is all about new beginnings. So, a few weeks before this eclipse hits, the universe is likely to take "something" away from you to make room for something new. Never judge an eclipse until it is completely over. It will appear to jumble everything up and then when the dust settles, the final result is often wonderful. However, you must be patient because the energy of an eclipse can last for up to one year. I have found most of the cosmic activity occurs a few weeks before and a few weeks after the actual date. Be especially attentive to what you hear in the media in the weeks leading up to September 7th and 22nd. There will be breaking news reports. I remember years ago, Princess Diana died on an eclipse. Mother Teresa also. I believe JFK Jr's went down that fateful day on an eclipse. You will usually hear of only bad things happening on eclipses because that's what makes eye catching headlines in the newspaper. But many good things happen on eclipses too. Clients have reported that with past eclipses, they've found new jobs, meet a wonderful new lover or received news of an opportunity they never dreamed of!

Take my case in point. Last year the eclipse fell in the career house of my solar chart on October 17th. I knew something big would likely be happening with my job. In September, a magazine I had been writing a monthly column for, for over a year, contacted me and told they were taking the column "in-house" and reducing the size to one page instead of two. They would not be needing my services any longer. I was upset but not devastated. The magazine had given me a large chunk of my monthly income and I enjoyed writing the horoscope column. But I knew the eclipse was coming and decided it was best to see what it wanted to bring me, rather then get upset. I kept reminding myself that eclipses often take something away to bring in someone new and the change is always for the better (usually). By the end of September, my agent was pitching a story idea to the National Enquirer about my new book Maria Shaw;s Astro Diet. But The Enquirer was far more interested in seeing if I would like to write their weekly horoscope column because their current astrologer was leaving. Within a blink of an eye or so it seemed, I was hired as the new astrologer for The Enquirer. It is a weekly column rather than the monthly I used to write, more income and my readership quadrupled. On the actual date of the eclipse, October 17th, my first column debuted in the pages of the Enquirer. Thank God for that eclipse!

Even though the upcoming eclipses will be in the sign of Pisces and Virgo, we all will be affected in some way, depending on what house each eclipse falls in our astrological chart. So, let's take a closer look at how the two eclipses will affect each zodiac sign based on a solar chart. If you know your natal chart, read your rising sign for even more accuracy.

Special Note from Maria: If you have a birthday on or around one of the eclipses; within 1-2 days, the coming year will be phenomenal!

ARIES

September 7: People out of your past may come back into your life. Listen to your dreams as there will be important messages coming through your subconscious during this time. You could be dealing with people or situations that involve 12th house issues; hospitals, prisons and large corporations.

September 22: Your work, especially if you are in a service or health field, may undergo a change. Your coworkers could change as a result. It's possible you will have to deal with a health concern and/or see improvements in your health. Some of you may also look into getting a new pet.

TAURUS

September 7: Bulls could be welcoming new friends into their social circle. You may join an important club, group or organization. Issues surrounding friendships also take centerstage.

September 22: This eclipse makes a trine to your sun sign which is considered a very easy, nice aspect in astrology. It has a lot to do with 5th house issues; children, pregnancy, romance, creativity, luck and recreation.

GEMINI

September 7: This eclipses will make a "square" to your sun sign so, it could be quite irritating and have to do with other people in your life. This eclipse will also bring in a change on the career front and because it is in the sign of Pisces, quite possibly an indecisiveness about a work option.

September 22: This eclipse has to do with your home and family life. There may be some frustrations arise you did not anticipate. If you have been thinking about moving or remodeling, you could do so now.

CANCER

September 7: The Pisces eclipse will trine your sun sign, bringing opportunities for spiritual growth, long distance travel, recognition for your work and possibly higher education or training.

September 22: This eclipse will sextile your sign so therefore should be decent experience for you. It has to do with 3rd house issues; short trips, brothers, sisters and communication of all kinds. You may get a new car, update your computer or buy electronic devices.

LEO

September 7: Your partner's income could change. You may receive money from other sources. This eclipse could bring you news from the bank, the IRS, or your accountant. It has much to do with debt and money you owe others. On another note; your libido may go into overdrive!

September 22: The eclipse has to do with your finances. Either you'll experience an increase in money or be spending more!

VIRGO

September 7: A new relationship could enter your life or you may break ties with a current relationship too. Partnerships of all kinds are highlighted. Expect the unexpected in your most serious commitments.

September 22: This eclipse is all about YOU! Especially if you were born September 21-23. The aspects will affect your life profoundly. Expect a major shift to take place in your life. I can guarantee you that things will not stay the same.

LIBRA

September 7: Your workplace may undergo a dramatic change- for the better or worse. It will be hard to tell at first perhaps. as new people may come in to the workplace, bringing new ideas. For some Libra, this will be a time to work on health issues. Another way of looking at what this eclipse could bring is an inept need inside yourself to get everything in your life organized.

September 22: Old friends and acquaintances are likely to revisit during this eclipse. If someone is working against your means such as a hidden energy, their true motives will be revealed. This eclipse also brings a chance for deep reflection.

Scorpio

September 7: This Pisces eclipse brings a friendly trine to your sun. It is quite possible you could have a fun, enjoyable month as well as entertain the notion of a new romantic relationship. If you're hoping to conceive a child, the timing may be perfect! This will also be a pleasant time to spend with your children if you have any and they will experience positive changes in their lives as well. If you're feeling lucky, hit the nearest casino!

September 22: The Virgo eclipse will bring in a whirlwind of social activities. It is also a wonderful time to develop new contacts. Your social calendar heats up!

SAGITTARIUS

September 7: Your home and family life are the main focus during this eclipse. Some Archers may consider relocating or possibly buying a second home. Others will receive good news regarding family members such as upcoming nuptials and other expansion.

September 22: This eclipse may bring job changes. A new position could be offered that seems tailor-made to your circumstances. However, if you are hanging onto a dead end job, your position may be eliminated. If seeking employment, there will be call backs for second interviews. Some Sag will open a business. Others may close one.

Capricorn

September 7: Have a suitcase packed because you'll probably be taking a short trip during this eclipse. It will offer you an opportunity to spend more time with your siblings and neighbors too. This period is favorable for negotiations and communication of all kinds. You may also be looking to buy a new computer or cell phone. Some Cappys may even be test driving a new car!

September 22: Keep that suitcase packed, because the Virgo eclipse, which trines your sun, offers a chance to travel to a faraway place. For some Goats, there will be a chance to further their education. Still, others may find themselves wrapped up in legal matters or making decisions regarding older members of their family.

AQUARIUS

September 7: The Pisces eclipse offers you a chance to focus on finances. Expect a change in how you make or spend money. You could also be making a large purchase. One way or another, you're likely to see a change in your finances and hopefully it's a good one!

September 22: You will be especially intuitive during this ellipse as it falls in the 8th house of your solar chart. Something in your life may also be coming to an end. Whatever you need to release, let it go. You will also be digging deeper into the true meaning of life and experience at least one meaningful spiritual experience.

PISCES

September 7: This eclipse is all about you! It conjuncts your sun sign and will bring you new opportunities as well as a few twists and turns. You can never really predict what exactly will happen, only that something BIG will! If you're open to what the universe wants to send your way, this is your time for an "Aha" moment. So gear up for some real excitement. You will probably be given a preview of what the changes are, during the weeks preceding this eclipse.

September 22: Expect changes in the area of relationships and partnerships. You could meet a soul mate! Perhaps some of you will start a business alliance. Other Pisces may end a love affair or cut ties with a long term associate. Others may decide to tie the knot with their significant other. Some Pisces may file for divorce. Whatever change is needed, in regard to 7th house issues (relationships), will develop under the influence of this eclipse, which is in your opposite sign of Virgo.

So that's what's messing everything up!!!! Gah!!! :(

I'm a pisces... but really I'm seeing more money & job upheaval than anything. Nothing big yet, just enough to stir the pot and make me consider getting a second job. Except our busy season is almost upon us... and then I'll probably have as many hours as I can handle. bleh.

Oh, well, guess I'll just wait and see what happens. :)
