This is another borrowed spell, again I'm sorry I don't remember where I got it.
The person who wrote this spell says it's best used to keep someone from telling a secret but as with all things you can adapt it to your needs. I don't see why it can't be used for keeping someone from sayin hurtful things, or lieing, or even from doing a hurtful action. You would have to adjust the spell accordingly but I'm sure it would work just as well. I'm going to write it out here as I originally found it. Remember that this spell can come dangerously close to violating the law of three, so you must have a good reason for using it. It should only be used for protection because after all this is imposing your will on another person.
Binding from telling a secret
This should be used to prevent someone from giving away a secret. It is again a form of sympathetic magick. A clay or wax figure may be used, or a clothe poppet. In the ritual it is named for the person whom it represents. Then , with appropriate word, the Witch takes a needle threaded with a twenty-one inch length of red silk, and sews up the mouth of the figure. She finishes off by winding the thread all around the body of the figure. The concentration is on the fact that the person is unable to speak on the forbidden subject - whatever the secret may be that is being safeguarded. At the end of the ritual the poppet is stored away in a safe place, wrapped in a piece of white cloth. So long as the thread remains in place, the person represented is bound.
Now for those of you like me who were new to this when they came acrossed this spell it requires some explaining. |
