Degrees
In every coven you have degrees. Our coven still has degrees but each one has a different name. On your first day of training we'll hand this list to you. But for your referance here it is for each degree:

Moonstone: Newbie, this is when your just checking out the coven.

Amethyst (1st degree): beginner, requirments what you need to get to the next degree:
*Be in coven for standard year and a day
*Know three types of circle castings by heart               *Know three quarter calls by heart
*Know an altar devotion and be able to denonstrate it.
*Meet a challenge designed especially for you
*Prove you can work as a solitary witch by    demonstrateing a solitary ritual that includes raising power
*Provide a magickal journal to your instructor that  ecompasses a full year of magickal experiances
*Show that your responsible individual that can be trusted by all members of the craft
*Be able to tell if a magick circle has been erected or not
  *Be willing to take the oath or initiation and all it includes
  *Know what a proper person is
*Have magickal name
*Have a BOS and/or grimoire

**IT MAY SOUND LIKE ALOT BUT OVER THE                                         COURSE OF A YEAR IT'S NOT!!!***

lodestone (2nd degree)- Intermidiate
*Be in coven for standard year and a day
*Be able to preform in front of the high  priestesses an altar devotion, a circle casting, and quarter calls for your own initiation with only two errors.
*To have all tools deemed nessecery for use.
*Write a new moon  ritual for both group and solitary use
*Write a full moon ritual for both group and solitary use
*Write a dark moon ritual for both group and solitary use
*Write a lesson to share with all your borthers  and sisters of the craft
*Draw down the god or goddess fora solitary  and group ritual
*Complete a challenge disigned for you
*Have logged 10 hours of community service.

(Not only do you get a degree you get  something to put on you college apps.!!)
*Know a dedication ritual by heart
*Keep magick journal for one year
*Make inventory of all your magickal tools
*Choosen and completed a branch
*Know history of witchcraft and have a 3 page research paper done
*Invetigate Illinois laws and how they relate to your religion.
*Write four devotionals to be usedeach day for six full moons
*Pass wicca 101 test with a 90%

Saffire (3rd degree) - Advanced
*Have proven dedication to the craft byrandom acts of kindness and service
*Know the paperwork that the high priestesses fill out at every ritual
*Kept all rituls in a solitary fashion
*Have writtin one funeral ceremony
*Have written on funeral ceremony
*Have writtin all high holiday rituals
*Have written a handfasting
*Have written and tested at least 20 spells
*writtin 10 meditations and shared them with others
*Chosen totem animal
*Show your able to overcome hostile, vebal attacks without losing your   temper
*preformed at least 17 rituals not includeding those previously mentioned
*25 hours of magickal  community service and/or general community service
*Prove you can cast a  magickal circle in front of a panal of high priestesses
*Be able to recite the Charge of the Goddess
*Be willin to take 3rd  degree oath an all thatentails it
*Become proficient with the branch you chose in leveltwo
*Meet challenge desigend for you
*Standard year and a day met
Some of you will say that's too easy. Others will say that too hard! Everyone in the Emerald Garden is expected to the above, and more. So if you think no one on the face of the planet does all this stuff- wrong
