| This is my father, Donald Carson. He is now retired from The Ontario Provincial Police. He was a member of the OPP for over thirty years. Prior to that, he enlisted in the US Army and was a member of the 82nd Airborne Unit. Dad went and did three tours in Vietnam, and during his final tour, he was hit and wounded. Below are the medals he earned while overseas. During his time there, he was an MP, was a gunner on the helicopters for some time as well did regular patrols through the jungle. Before leaving in 1969, he reached the rank of SGT. |
