TANJUNG TUAN ( CAPE RACHADO )




Near Blue Lagoon is Tanjung Tuan (Cape Rachado) renowned for its' light house which was built by the British in 1860. On a bright and clear day, one can see Sumatera Island across the Straits of Malacca.

The light house is not open to visitors, nevertheless the keeper is more than willing to bring visitors for a tour if one were to request.

There are 66 flight of steps leading to the light house. To reach the peak of the light house, one has to climb 72 flight of steps.

PD boasts of many international class and budget accommodation, ranging from luxury establishments to simple guesthouses.Currently, rates are from as low as RM80. Food stalls can be easily found along the beach as well as the town center. PD's specially is seafood, be it Malay, Chinese or Western cuisine
