Blood Drinking

I'm curious to know if anyone here has ever drunk blood before or not?
If so, what do you get out of it and how much does it take?
I used to take pleasure in drinking my friend's blood and them me,
but when I finally took some from a friend who claimed to have Vampiric blood I went slightly insane and hallucinated for about a month.
The experience was enough to make me stop and realize that wasnt getting me nowhere in life and later would have ended my life if I kept going that way.
Anyway, just a discussion I thought to bring up in a Vampire group. Peace&Love, ~AsH~

I have and do, on certain occasions, but not on a regular bassis.
As for what you get out of it, it really depends on your beliefs.
If you don't believe in the spiritual at all...
it gets you nothing, and only offers a chance to make you puke
(most people can only drink a pint of blood before their stomachs can't handle it)..
or contract some disease, (though as long as you have no open wounds or sore in your mouth, you only have about a 3-5% chance of contracting aids from somone infected, as your saliva and stomach acids will kill it)
So it does you nothing, beyond making you feel cool, if that's what you think you like.
If you are a bit spiritual, then it is up to you to decide.... many believe
(as did many in the past)
that blood carries the energy of life, and so drinking it will add that energy to yourself.
There are many varying beliefs as to the effect of this:
it adds it's life to your own making you seem a little younger.
It gives you more energy like a spiritual amphetamine.
It carries the donors spiritual energy, and so puts a bit of them in you.
Somtimes creating a bond between the two like that of long time friends.
(somtimes able to actually talk without speaking, finish eachothers scentences, know where the other is, or if they have befallen any harm.. among other things.)
The last belief can explain your experience, as somtimes, people have discordant energies, and it in effect, infected you with an energy your own could not absorb, much like getting a bad flu for the soul (c:
As far as vampires are concerned, many people believe that they can control the energies that are passed on through their blood. So likely this person actually did that to you on purpose.
Suffice to say, if you don't believe in the spiritual, it really does you no good,
and if you do.. . you really need to know what you're doing, or have somone you can trust there to teach you.
As far as you ending your own life...
that has nothing to do with the blood...
and all to do with you.
Maybe you should stop and consider why you were considering that path, and what was influencing you to do so, that is likely a separate problem you still need to deal with.
Blood on it's own, is a thing of passion, not darkness and despair.
Perhaps you should look into a bit of Shakespeare, particularly a very well know speach, "To be or not to be"

I have never actually drank blood,
nor do i belive, other than if i were actually bacame a Vampire...
that i would ever drink blood,
i find the tast displeasing, though ...
it is a give or take, for I love to bite,
I like to peirce the skin and with that comes blood,
I fins when in passion the heat of the moment overeides the tast,
I also agree it is metaphysical spiritual...
you dont do it just to say "Hey I drank blood,"...
and I do not recommend doing it to a random person,
unlike our semi immortal freinds we have come to admire,
we can die more easily from infections....and unless you find the cure for such ailments....well..
you can answer that yourself....Happy Hunting.

I too drink blood when the situation permits...
It's hard to find someone consentual,
and we don't want to go around biting people on the necks like werewolves now do we?
All be it we all have different reasons for our interest in vampires and in blood,
we still have the same interest and I believe that no one will disagree that the spiritual aspect of the practice of drinking blood is what we most crave in doing so.
Once that blood touches your tongue,,,
you are instantaniously transported to a higher level of consiousness.
If you are scared that maybe you can't handle the energy you are conjuring from your practicing,
or maybe you are not ready to go to that level,
then I would refrain until I have reached the point that I can accept and deal with the powerful feelings that may result from an encounter.
Some such as lady_adonica_madelia I believe,
derive sexual energy from vampiritic activities...
this next to spiritual is on my list of reasons for practicing.
You can consider yourself a vampire if you feed sexually off of another persons energy in leiu of partaking of their blood.
But I must say the two in hand are hard to beat.
And to actually feel you have become one with your victim/donor drinking their life source can not be taken for granted.
Actually drinking the blood when you have broken skin hightens your vampire experience,,,
and you come to enjoy the taste thoroughly.. ~v~v~

Mutual vampirism during coitus, is an experience near to a true soul kiss,
as it forces the two energies to merge.
This kind of an experience is amazing, raptourous, and wonderful.
Yet, you mest be very careful as to when you engage in such an activity,
as it can result in a temporary and false, "true love" emotions, and complicate life to an unimaginable degree.
Again, however, if you know what you are doing, and understand the implications,
it is more than worth the risks.
