love can keep us chained,
and if released from it's grip, what is there,
remained,
what hurts, and bleeds, and pounds and aches,
what happens when the hearts' forsaked,
still there is a breathing soul,
alive and there, although less then whole,
wondering, listening,
tears on cheeks glistening,
swearing never to love again
thinking the pain will never end
