| Foreword Currently, Egypt`s government is turning its attention towards boosting its economic and trade relations with all countries around the world. With the goal of opening new and stable markets as well as encouraging the flow of foreign and private sector investment into Egypt, the government embarked on a market orientated policy shift with an eye on globalization challenges. The Egyptian Commercial Representation Service (CRS) is considered one of the control arms of the government mandated its economic policy as well as support and develop bilateral and multilateral relations. Adopting the philosophy of a market outward orientated economy is one of the top items on the government`s agenda. It is considered a necessity for real development in Egypt that CRS works on undertaking the essential services of the export promotion program of the Egyptian products which is a major function of CRS, helping in the rationalization of Egyptian imports and attraction of Arab and Foreign investments into Egypt (especially to Hi -Tech projects), in order to develop the national economy and raise standards of living. The CRS has 68 offices overseas, which are selected according to the nature and volume of prospective bilateral and international economic exchanges. Over and above this, the CRS follows up the performance and excution of the economic cooperation programs between Egypt and different countries to maximize the benifits of these programs for Egyptian economic development. |
