BBQ BEEF RIB SHORT RIBS
Okay this is one of my scary concoctions.  Yummy for sure....fattening ...definitely!!!  Althought these are good with short ribs...the dino ribs (big ones)_are fantastic too.
Ingredients:

4 lbs of beef short ribs (or some of the bigger ribs mmmmm)
3/4 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup soya sauce....okay once again....Kikkomann or good stuff only
3 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 tbsp veggie oil
5 cloves garlic minced
3/4 cup chopped onion, minced
1/2 cup real maple syrup
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1/2 tsp of thyme
1/4 tsp tarragon
1/2 tsp black ground pepper
dash of salt

Method:

You don't have to boil the ribs first but some people prefer to precook them a while before grilling on the bbq.  If you are one of these people, cover the ribs with water in a 4 quart pot and a dash of salt for 1 1/2 hours.  If you don't want to boil first (I never do I just cook the ribs slowly...skip this step of boiling especially since the marinade doesn't take so well to cooked meat...just isn't the same to me).

Anyway, take your ingredients and mix them in a nonreactive bowl (wooden works great if you have it... just not steel).  Reserve 1/2 cup of marinade to baste with.  Mix all the ingredients together and put your ribs in the marinade.  Let stand in the marinade a few hours at least.  Preheat your bbq grill (after cleaning you may use Pam to help in the non-stick factor but I don't).

Cook on medium heat (of course it depends on your bbq) for 1 - 1 1/2 hours turning every 15 minutes.    Baste with the reserved marinade the whole while.
