JEAN'S CEREAL PEANUT BARS
A Christmas tradition (and my husband's favourite square) these tasty bits of heaven are simply wonderful.  Not hard to make and freeze well.  Extremely good!!!!!
Ingredients:

1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup brown sugar
dash of salt
1 cup peanut butter (smooth)
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups crisp rice cereal (a.k.a. Rice Crispies)
1 cup Corn Flakes (slightly crushed)
1  6 oz pkg (1 cup) semisweet chocolate pieces


Method:


Combine sugar, syrup and salt in a saucepan and bring it to a full boil.  Stir in peanut butter and remove from heat.  Stir in vanilla, cereals and chocolate pieces.  Press into a buttered 9x9x2 inch pan.  Chill for 1 hour.  Cut in small bars or squares.  Store in refridgerator.

If cut into 25 squares 1 square = 1 bread and 1 fat exchange
