FRUIT SALAD
My mom makes this at most occasions.  I have added some things of my own.  It sort of acts as a cleanser to your body after you eat all the fattening stuff at a large dinner.  The secret is....the booooozies.  MMMMM
Ingredients:

These amounts may vary depending on what you prefer (we use a triffle bowl or large glass bowl):

3 quarts fresh strawberries, sliced lengthwise
4 fresh peaches, sliced (or you can use 2 tins but reserve the juice)
2 fresh nectarines, sliced
1 cantalope, cubed
1 honeydew, cubed
1 quart raspberries
1 quart blueberries (or when in season bumbleberries)
3 cups watermelon cubes
4 apples (I use Macintosh), cored and sliced
2 pears, cored and sliced
1/4 to 1/2 cup lemon juice
3 oranges, cubed
1 cup tripple sec or grand marnier (or some other fruity liquor)

Method:

Prepare your fruit the same day you are going to use it otherwise it isn't as fresh.  Start with your apples and pears and place them in a bowl.  Set aside.  Be sure to only put the apples and pears not the lemon juice at the bottom of the bowl - reserve that for later.  Prepare the rest of the fruit.  Put it in a large bowl/triffle bowl.  Make sure it is evenly distributed throughout the bowl colour wise.  Pour more lemon juice on the mixture (try to cover most top pieces anyway) this will help stop the apples and pears from turning brown.  If you used can peaches mix the reserved juice with the booze in a bowl.  If you didn't just measure out your booze.  Then poor the booze/booze mixture over the fruit.  Cover with plastic wrap and put in your fridge for 1/2 hour.  Stir the fruit, recover and let sit in fridge until ready to serve.  Top with Cool Whip.  Leave the booze you used on the table in case people want to add more.  MMMMMMMMMMM
