| These are absolutely yummy...the recipe doesn't make much but try to keep them around....not likely. |

| INGREDIENTS: 1 cup shortening 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 egg, beaten 2 cups flour 1 tsp Cream of Tartar 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla METHOD: Mix together all ingredients well then roll it into small balls (the size of meatballs or a touch smaller). Pres them down with a fork. Place them on a well greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F until brown (8 - 10 minutes). These keep well in a covered cookie jar. |
