Hatori Souma is twenty seven years old. He is in dragon zodiac. His occupation is doctor. He seems cold from the outside but is actually a kind and gentle person. In Souma family, he is Akito's (the head) personal doctor. He is also in charge of erasing people's memory-those who have known the secret of the twelve Chinese zodiac.

However, Tohru is an exception. She has already made an agreement with him that she would never tell the secret to anyone or she would bear the consequences. Also, her arrival changes the situation in the house she stay. Inside the house, it is more cheerful and happier ever than before. Yuki who have always closed himself can even smile again.

Being cursed in the dragon zodiac, he will transform into a tiny little sea horse when hugging female. He, however ever had a love relationship with his assistent who is not in one of the twelve Chinese zodiac. This love was opposed by the head of the Souma, Akito.

After telling Akito that they were engaged, Akito hit his eyes in front of her fiancee. He did not become blind though, but her fiancee was so depressed and blamed herself for this every day. The condition continued until her body become weak. It is so tragic then that Hatori finally used his ability to erase her memory. She then left away as if nothing had happened. She only knew that she worked for Hatori as his assistent.
