| tofu with red sauce this dish is super quick to make, and tasty -- if you like the taste of fermented tofu! 1. scald in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and dice into 1-inch cubes: 14-16 oz firm tofu 2. heat in a pan or pot over medium heat, mashing and stirring for a few seconds: 4 T vegetable oil 2 T red fermented tofu (include both the solids and the liquids) 3. when the fermented tofu is all mashed up, stir in the tofu cubes along with: 2 t sugar 1 t sesame oil 4. cover and turn heat to low; simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. serve with rice. enjoy! return to the veggie asia home page |
