| stewed daikon 1. throw in a wok, pan or pot: 1/2 medium daikon, chopped into 1-inch cubes (should make about 30 pieces) 1 T soy sauce 1 T brown sugar 2 pods star anise garlic and/or ginger to taste enough water to cover the daikon 2. simmer partially covered, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is almost gone. if the daikon pieces are not yet soft, add more water and continue to simmer. enjoy! return to the veggie asia home page |
