Web Shell 1.0.2 Special Note for Mac OS X


Mac OS X has a NetInfo database for storing some system settings, unlike most traditional UNIX-based operating systems which store all the settings as individual files under the /etc directory. Editing the /etc/services file seems not work with OS X, so you should use an application program called "NetInfo Manager" to do so. The program is included with the OS and put under the /Applications/Utilities directory.



First, click the unlock button and enter the administrator password to make changes. Then, add an item in the /services part. Name the service "websh" and change the port to "9000". Save the changes before you quit. And you are done.
