ELYSIUM NEWS
New champion, Elysium Phyllis von Volkman, began her show career on August 2 at the 2001 Mini Roundup in Canfield, Ohio.
She returned home on August 5 with three (3, count 'em) 5 point majors!

F. T. Ch. Elysium April Showers (Zoey) went First in the Field Champion Class at the Greater PortlandField Trials DCA weekend.
25 May, Staten Island Kennel Club, Elysium Elijah is BOW and Morgan v Elysium went WB under judge George Heitzman.
26 May, Monmouth County Kennel Club, Elysium Elijah is BOW under judge Joan Goldstein.
Ch. Elysium Jaegersohn has completed his title in Luxembourg thanks to his owner Klaas Aghina.
19 April, Met Washington Dachshund Club, Morgan von Elysium, at her first show, is reserve winners bitch under judge Lena Tamboer.
20 April, Met Baltimore Dachshund Club, Elysium Elijah (Bud) is reserve winners dog and Elysium Eliza is BOW to complete her title with four majors, three at specialties, under judge Sherrill Snyder.
At the Finger Lakes Kennel Club Show on March 29, 2001,
in an entry supported by the Syracuse Dachshund Club, F. T. Ch. Elysium
April Showers (Zoey) won her second major to complete her bench title,
and making her the first Elysium Dual Champion!!

Genieczko, who co-own her with her breeders.
Melissa trained Zoey and handled her to her field title.
(Zoey garnered all of her points in her first season out, never failing
to place, and had earned her Field
Trial Championship before she was a year old.)
Lorraine expertly handled Zoey to her conformation championship.
We are truly proud of this versatile dachshund and her
handlers.
At the Syracuse Dachshund Club specialty on March 31, 2001, under breeder judge Edith Colonari, Elysium Eliza was WB and BOS over specials for her second specialty 5-point major.
March 2, 2001, Hudson Valley Dachshund Association Elysium Eliza is Best in Sweeps under judge Don Ingamells, Best Of Winners and Best of Variety under judge Jan Schirmer...from the puppy class!
The same day, under judge Pat Mowbray, FTCh. Elysium April Showers owned by Melissa Wynings, Lorraine Genieczko and the Warrens is BOW for a 3 point major and...Ch. Elysium Merry Madeleina is BOV!
