This summer, Matt's mom decided that she was going to Colorado for the weekend to pick up a friend of hers- alone if she had to. So, we weren't really doing anything and a roadtrip is a roadtrip, so we agreed to go along and help drive (considering it's approx 13 hrs to get there). We left at 6pm Friday evening and got back at approx the same time Sunday night. Yeah, that was stupid. Also stupid was going to the top of Pike's Peak after having been in Colorado only 3 hrs. Can you say altitude sickness? I felt like I was in a bouncey castle. Every step I took I swear the mountain sank down 6 inches. Yay, a bouncey mountain! It was really pretty and we got to go to most of the major sites around Colorado Springs (even the Garden of the Gods). So, I'm glad that we went but it was a long drive to stay only 19 hrs!
