At the Annual Meeting Mrs. Emile Bienvenu of New Orleans and Frederick A. Wyckoff of New York City were elected Vice Presidents of the John and Mayken lines, respectively. William. W. Wyckoff began duties as Secretary, and Malcolm E. Wyckoff continued as Treasurer.
The committee on the preservation of the Wyckoff House reported that it was not feasible to proceed with the project because the house was in such poor condition and its location made it practically in accessible for museum purposes.
The office of junior director was authorized, and six were elected to this office for terms of one, two and three years. It was planned that the Junior Directors would be in charge of setting up the Annual Meeting.
On May 22.1938, at the invitation of the consistory of the Flatlands Reformed Church, a" Wyckoff Memorial Tree" was planted and dedicated in the cemetery of the church. A bronze tablet marked the tree with this inscription:

Rites Set For This
Afternoon
Mrs. Emile Bienvenu, 51 years old, prominent in New Orleans civic, social and political life,
Died Friday at 3 a.m. at Baptist hospital after a month's illness.
Mrs. Bienvenu was Democratic national committeewoman from Louisiana and president of the women's division of the Louisiana Democratic Association.
Funeral Services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at the P.J. McMahon and Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 4800 Canal street, followed by rites at Grace Church, 1501 Canal Street and internment at Metairie cemetery.
Mrs. Bienvenu was the former Miss Eleanor Wyckoff Frith, a native of Avoyelles parish and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Poindexter Frith. She had resided in New Orleans for 46 years.
DID RED CROSS WORK
She made her social debut in 1908, and in 1909 was married to Mr. Bienvenu, who now is President of the state board of Certified Public Accountants.
Mrs Bienvenu was one of the first to engage actively in the American Red Cross program here, organizing the Carrollton branch. She saw extensive service with the Red Cross Gulf division here during the World War (WW1)
She was a past president of New Orleans unit No. 114, American Legion auxiliary; past president of the auxiliary for the Second District; past president of the 40 and 8 auxiliary; past president of the Service Star Legion and chaplain of that organization.
Mrs. Bienvenu was one of the first women in the state to preside at a state political gathering, and in 1921, introduced the late Henry I. Fuqua at a meeting in the Audubon Tea Room in his successful campaign for the governorship.
Other Activities
She was organizer of the women's division of the Louisiana Democratic Association and served as its president. She was elected national committeewoman in 1932 and was re-elected in 1936. She served for six years as vice-chairman of the Louisiana State Board of Chirities and corrections and upon its dissolution at the 1938 session of the Legislature was chosen an advisor to E. R. Johnson, Lead of the state welfare department.
She was an organizer of Le Petit Salon and was a member of the Colonial Dames, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Orleans Club and the New Orleans Country Club.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Thomas Frith Bienvenu of New York and two brothers, Edwin Hunter Frith of New Orleans and Alva Pearce Frith of Lake Charles.
