Maj Pierre Antoine Bienvenu, Sr owned the largest Plantation in St. Bernard Parish,
Louisiana. It was called Kenilworth Plantation.
Born in France, Major Bienvenu immigrated to Quebec Canada on 23 May 1718
aboard the ship Victoire. From Quebec he moved to Kaskaskia, in the Illinois Territory,
which was a major French colonial town of that era.
From there to Louisiana where he was a Lawyer at 1st session of Spanish Cabildo
in Dec 1769. (New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana)
