Previously owned vehicles and other projects
Unfortunately, because of space considerations I am cutting down the number of pages on my site in order to go into more detail on current and more recent projects.  Perhaps one of these days I shall actually pay for a real website and not have to do things like this, but until then, I am grateful that Yahoo Geocities is still free, even if it does still have the annoying popup and border ads.  At any rate, here are some of the vehicles that I have owned that have been sold, scraped, wrecked or a combination of one or more of the above things.  Also are some vehicles that I have worked on and put time into, but I do not personally own.
This is my 1988 Dodge W150 show truck that I bought in 1996.   I put a lot of time and money in it, only to roll it over and determine that big fancy show trucks are a total waste of time and money.  I put another cab on the truck after I wrecked it and sold it at a huge loss and it has changed hands many times since then with little or no real work being done to it.  I believe it to be cursed.  I will never, ever buy or build such a useless vehicle.
Here is my 1974 Dodge W100 that I bought as a stock longbed pickup, and modified it for light trail duty.  Originally a 318 engine, NP445 transmission and NP205 transfer case, I put in a mild 383 bigblock with a Lakewood safety bellhousing, cut 12" off the rear frame and 13" off the bed, and a few other mods and stuff I fabricated.  It's been a good truck, but has gotten a lot of body damage on the trail as well as a few mechanical problems with the steering.  It has been placed on a back burner for now, but will soon get 8 lug axles and some better sheetmetal from my '74 W200.
This is my 1974 Dodge W200 that I nicknamed "Babe" as in "Babe The Blue Ox" from Paul Bunyan fame.  I originally bought as a parts truck for my W100, but after getting it home and it running so well, I decided to keep it.  A long life of abuse, plowing snow, and stupid mechanics has taken it's toll on Babe, and her frame is about rusted through so I have decided to part her out.  The 4.10 geared axles, steering setup, misc body panels, and other odds and ends will go on the black W100.  The 318 engine, NP435 transmission, NP205 transfer case, brake system and some wiring will be used for the build of my 1967 Kaiser-Jeep M715.  The rest of the truck will be hauled off for scrap.
This one is my old 1984 Dodge W150 Ramcharger.  This was my first 4WD and as such, took a lot of punishment.  The original 318 got replaced by a 360, and everything except the body wiring, the brake booster, and the steering box was rebuilt or replaced.  It was a tough truck considering it had 230,000 miles on it when I got it.  It was originally a Virginia State Game and Inland Fisheries truck.  It was quite a learning experience, but I loved this truck and it took me to places I never thought a truck could.  It was vandalized as the result of a vindictive girl friend, and the engine was ruined.  I was hard up for money and space, so I sold it.  There have been many times that I have wished I still had it.
Here is my friend's 1971 Plymouth Road Runner.  It's an original 383 4 speed car.  We did our best restoring it a few years ago, but mistakes made by the body man have come back to haunt the car.  Also the power of the built engine from our street racing '70 Duster is proving to be a bit too much for clutches, U-joints, and pinion gears.  I have this car outside my house right now replacing the clutch with a Centerforce Dual Friction, and putting in 4.10 gears and a new oil pan.  If I remember, I'll try to get a pic of it as it looks now since these of the restoration are several years old.  The last pic is of the bird before the restoration started.
As usual if you have any questions or comments about these vehicles, feel free to Email me at: [email protected]
This was my 2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES, and my first vehicle in the "import" style.  While not trully an import since it was made in Normal Illinois, it was based off the JDM Galants from Japan and other parts of the world.  it was a nice car and I really wanted to do more to it, but money considerations while I owned it kept me from accomplishing my goals with this car.  The addition of 18" Konig Imagine Opal rims and Yokohama Parada Spec-2 tires was the only major mod I did.  A cold air intake and muffler swap helped out the engine, but it was still pathetically underpowered and was an automatic to boot!  The swap to the SRT-4 was definately needed.
