Book II - A Requiem of Heroes
Chapter 1-The Kingdom of Ravonia
Guided by the old sage, Elminster; the heroes went to the lands Ravonia, near the Anauroch. When they entered the land, they found themselves surrounded by a thick mist, and the main gates closed behind them, sealing them inside the lands. The heroes made their way to the center of the cvalley, where they came to the city of Barovia. The land was surrounded in darkness, and unspeakable creatures lurked in the shadows, waiting to strike the unaware. They were now trapped in the lands known as Ravenloft. After arriving, the heroes went to the Blood on the Vine Tavern, where they met Ismarck Kolyanovich. He related to the adventurers, that his father had been killed by zombies, and his sister was trapped in the house. The heroes rushed to the scene, and dispatched the undead creatures; saving his sister, Ireena. The zombies had been sent to dispatch the burgomeister, and take Ireena to be his bride. The heroes then headed to the church to see what they could learn of this land. When they arrived, they found that the church was in shambles, and only one priest was there to protect the place. The priest spoke of the undead that flooded from the old crypts in the churchyard, and asked for the heroes to help. In the crypt the heroes faced a legion of rats and zombies controlled by three vampires, which had been tunneling under the city to invade. The heroes collapsed the holes, and decided to go deeper into the crypt.
