AIDS...HIV...Hemophilia?
AIDS:
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome in which ceratin cells of body's immune system are destroyed by a virus related to infection with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
HIV:
Human Immunodeficiency Virus is what causes. A person infected with HIV loses immune function and can catch many infections that lead to AIDS.
Hemophilia:
Blood disease that unables the blood to clot or coagulate leading to hemorrhage even from minor injuries. It is caused by the scarcity of blood proteins (factors) that help the blood clotting. Hemophilia is, in most cases, hereditary. Plasma extracts can be used for treatment (and that's when
HIV comes in!)
