Located in Unity Park at the junction of Columbia Road and Champlain Street in NW WDC 'Carrying a Rainbow on Your Shoulder' was created by Jerome Meadows.  Commissioned by Friends of Meridian Hill Park in collaboration with the community the sculpture, designed by Meadows,  was inspired by when he would carry his son on his shoulder when he was little.
