| Bilbo Baggins was a normal Hobbit that lived in Bag end. He did nothing out of the ordinary and was considered respectable. His father was a Baggins but his mother was a Took. Tooks were quite the contrairy of Baggins. Tooks were wild and adventurous. One day some dwarves showed up unexpectedly at his step for a party. Throughout the day even more would show up. Infact i think it was 13 in all. Near the last of them, the old Wizard that showed up in the town every so often, Gandalf the Grey, came. Bilbo Baggins, polite as he was, let them in and prepared some food and ale for them. As they talked with Gandalf, they questioned him who their 14th companion would be. The old Wizard then pointed at Mr. Baggins. Bilbo, astonished, let out a frightened squeal. He did nor go on any adventures of any kinds. Eventually through the night, his Took side took over and by morning he met the dwarves down the road some ways for their adventure. They were to go past the Misty Mountains back to their fathers old home which held all of their treasures and take it back from the dragon, Smaug. They mad their way. First almost being eaten by trolls, where Bilbo recieved "sting" his sword. then through the mountain, where Bilbo found his magical ring and first met Gollum. Later almost being eaten by wolves and then being captured by spiders. Bilbo saving them from some of these things. Later the dwarves were taken captive by the elves of Mirkwood. Bilbo also releasing them. They journeyed to the mountain and tried many different ways. Finally Smaug left one day to find food, and never returned. Bard, a man from the village down below, had killed him. Wolves and orcs from the Misty Mountains stormed in. This began the battle of five armies. Elves, Dwarves and men together defeated the orcs and the wolves. The eagles, Gandalf and Bilbo also helped the good side win. After the battle, Bilbo returned home and was no longer considered a respectable, never-adventuring Baggins ever again. |
