A Red Pigment On The Hageman Base
Sorry about the truly horrible focus on this pic, all the pics from that trip came out like that...well, all except 2..most either came out blurry or didn't even come out on the negatives at all. Since about summer I noticed a mysterious red pigment on the Hageman base....there also used to be a white candle stub shoved ito it as well, but that is gone now. Here, you can see some of the red pigment as red blotches instead of the red spots you'd see if you were over there. I have no idea what it could be...no it isn;t blood.....if it were, it would have dried up brown, not bright red. And what's more, if it were blood, it would not have lasted about a year without washing/eroding away.Any thoughts on what it could be?
