| After having found the bone, we started dragging ourselves out of Bachelors Grove and we saw something else that had evaded our attention upon entering. Two shards of wood. Not just any shards though. These pieces of wood have cleanly cut edges as Jon pointed out. Also, one side is completely dirty and the other is relatively clean...like one side was facing out and the other facing in. This is possible coffin wood. Here Jon has the wood against his hat again to estimate size later on. Again, this pic was taken on Columbus day 2000 |
