| This picture was taken on columbus day 2000. My friend Jon and I had arrived to Bachelors Grove and we had just gotten over how much everything had changed since last time we had gone. We turned to our right and followed the gates around. We came up to the Newman grave to dicover that it had been desecrated. We just dropped our jaws in awe at this completely unexpected sight. Jon made the point that it had been dug up with the purpose of extracting something not just vandalism since it was filled in hastily. I took this picture and when I developed it, I found something more. There is a silhouette to the left of the grave. It resembles a monk in his robe. I had boxed it in so that you can see where it is exactly, but still, alot of people saw nothing. So now I have filled in the area with a dark green. Now you should easily ber able to see where it is. If nothing else, this picture shows how poorly Bachelors Grove is protected and how bad it is vandalized. |
