Keitaro and his childhood sweetheart make a promise to be accepted at and to meet each other at the prestigous Tokyo University before she moved out of his life. About a decade later, Keitaro has become an artist and a daydreamer, having ranked 27th from the last in the national practice exam. When his grandmother leaves the all-girls dormitory, he becomes the residential manager and soon meets up with two Tokyo U applicants who may have been that sweetheart, since he's forgotten her name. Then there the other tenants like young Shinobu who was in despair until Keitaro helped her, Motoko the swordsmaster who sees men as evil distractions, Su Kaolo the genius child inventor and the sneaky Kitsune.
From the beginning of this anime I was laughing. Almost everything is funny in this series from Keitaro's dumbness and skill in getting in bad situations to the strange apartment tenants. Though it may not be a very deep plot, or great music, I was hooked from the first DVD.  I loved the chrarachters in this series too. Although I would stay away from the dub beucase Kitsune has an unessasary southern accent. Alos Shinobu may be a cry baby at the beginning of the series but give her time beucase she stops acting that way once her parents stop fighting. Each and every charachter is unique and they all flirt and get mad at Keitaro at times. I would definitly try this series out.
Storyline: A decent story line, but it is not what keeps you watching the show, the non stop comedy is. It all ways seems like Keitaro is getting in the wrong situation or place at the wrong time. I would have to say the the story line is interesting,  but I think that it could be stronger.
Music:
Not very good, when compared to a series like Cowboy Bebop. Traditional, where the instrament part is poor, and then there is catchy lyrics.
Visuals
: Quite good. All the chrachters are nicly drawn, along with the background. Peoples hair are more resonable then some other anime, too.
