Cucu Sutarsyah has been a lecturer in English Education Department (since 1986) and the secretary of Postgraduate Program of Educational Technology (since 2001) at the Teacher Education Faculty of the University of Lampung. He attended short courses on "Language Teaching and Language Syllabuses" (1989) and on "Language Curriculum and Material Development" (2002) at Regional Language Centre (RELC), Singapore. In 1991, he took a Diploma in the Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL) at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. His MA in Applied Linguistics was earned from the same University in 1993. He received his doctoral degree in English Education from the State University of Malang in 2000. Dr. Sutarsyah is currently the chief editor of the English bulletin Gazette and an editor of Science Journal of Teacher Education Faculty of the University of Lampung. He has been a Comissary of Indonesian Linguistic Society of Lampung since 1990.
