Patrisius Istiarto Djiwandono was born in Malang, 16 March 1967. He earned his Bachelor in English Education, Master in English Education, and Doctor in Language Education from the State University of Malang (formerly IKIP Malang) in 1991, 1994, 1998, respectively. In addition, he got a Diploma TESL qualification from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, in 1992. He now works at the Language Centre of University of Surabaya, and teaches Discourse Analysis and Language Testing at the Post Graduate Program of Widya Mandala Catholic University. Dr Djiwandono has presented papers in numerous conferences and seminars on language education and linguistics. Being keen on strategic learning, he wrote two books on reading strategy published by PT Gramedia in 2000 and 2004. |
