article is written based on the research concerning the strategic competence of
the conversation models provided in the English textbooks for high school
students in
The data are the conversation models taken out of
the English textbooks used by students of both junior and senior high schools
written based on Curriculum 2004. The conversations are analyzed through their they respective
strategic competence available.
The results prove that just a very few of the models
take into account the strategic competence offered by the communicative
competence model of Celce
