Conny Semiawan

This presentation should actually be titled: Trends in English for young learners. However, an investigation in neuroscience and its impact on the language development of young children was and is a very important breakthrough in English language teaching. Those impacts of neuroscience investigations are relevant within the development of the child, because language is a higher mental function located in the brain, which distinguishes us, human beings from other creatures. This presentation consists of four parts, firstly: The introduction; secondly: Neuroscience investigation and its impacts on the brain; thirdly: How language development works and lastly: Implications on English language teaching.
