At 9:30am. Inna called saying she was going to stop by sometime before 11am to pick up the paperwork to take to The U.S. Embassy so we can get Marina her Visa to enter the United States. Right after she called, Marina and I went down to the lobby to get some bottled water. We must have Missed Inna on the elevator, because when we returned, Kevin said that she had shown up to get the documents needed for our appt, and she was not happy that I was not there. Kevin, our family coordinator had told us that we needed to bring photo copies of our dossier with us, but he has never known anyone to ever need them......well, we needed those copies many times. They have asked for nearly half of it so far.

Inna called back and said we have an appt at the U.S. Embassy at 3:15, and we should meet them in the lobby at 2:45. Marina finally fell asleep at 12 noon, but woke in plenty of time for our appointment. We were picked up 15 minutes late for our embassy apptointment. I was getting really freaked out, being late for an official appointment, but it really was not an issue. WHat made us even later was the bridge we needed to cross to get to the embassy was closed, so we had to take an alternate route.

The process at the embassy was fairly simple. They asked simple questions, we gave simple answers. They say OK, check over the Visa and sing on the dotted line.

Marina is still not feeling well, but perks up at times. We will leave the hotel at noon tomorrow, stop on the way for lunch, then head to the airport for our trip home. I can't wait! And to be able to have a cold drink..On Ice!
