Said and Mohammed and his feelings for Jade being like coffee and milk (part of the synopsis written by Aleida)

Said tells Mohamed that Jade entered his heart and became an inseparable part of it, much like when milk and coffee mix they can no longer be separated. Mohamed points out to Said that he has Ranya who he could love, and Said tells him that his head knows that; but you don't choose love with your head, you choose it with your heart.

Said talk to Mohammed  about Jade and says  he cannot breathe without her

Mohamed tells Said that he should rid himself of Jade before she does so to him, and Said tells him that his heart won't let him; he loves Jade. Said admits that he doesn't want Jade…nor can he even imagine Jade…living with another and that he can't be happy without her nor with her. Mohamed mentions Ranya, and Said tells him that he likes Ranya but he can still breathe without her, while can't breathe without Jade.

Said takes breakfast to Jade

Zoraide asks Said if she can bring Jade her breakfast, but Said insists on taking it in himself. Jade asks Said what he wants with her and tells him that she doesn't love him and never will. Said tells Jade that it's better that she eat her breakfast. Jade then tells Said that the only reason she's still there, putting up with him, was for Khadija's sake; and that if it weren't for Khadija, she would have disappeared a long time ago. Said continues to talk about Jade's breakfast and tells her that if it gets cold, he won't be bringing her another. Jade asks him again why he's doing that to her. Said gives her a tortured look, and gently reaches out and touches her face, but not her heart, and tells her it's because he loves her. Jade tells him that it's his pride, not his love for her, that's causing him to act this way. Said then asks Jade, "What do you know about love?" Jade answers, "Everything, you're the one who knows nothing."

Said now brings Lucas into the picture and tells Jade, "You think that he loves you a lot, but you know little about humankind; you traveled too little throughout the world. You think you know a lot about Westerners because you were born here." Jade replies, "Of course" and Said, in an unguarded moment, tells her, "Don't think that it doesn't make me feel small to have to walk around with these keys, to keep you locked up in this room. It makes me feel small, weak. I'd like to have the strength to set you free, but I can't; in my heart, I can't." Jade, perhaps sensing that Said was now speaking from the heart, touches his face gently and tells him that it would be better for everyone if he were to let her go now. Said quickly comes to his senses, roughly brushes her hand away.

Jade and Said talk about his love for her

Jade sits down and calmly talks to Said, taking him by the hand and gently touching his face as she tries to touch his heart once again and get him to free her so that she can be happy too. Said tells her he did everything to make her happy, that no woman had been loved as she had, but that she stepped on his heart and spit it out. Jade sheds a tear and tells him that he pushed her towards Lucas with his insistence on that trip to Brazil and in putting Lucas in front of her to reawaken the flames of love she had for him after she had already conformed herself to her marriage to Said.
